Jon Brown serves as Lead Student Ministries Pastor at Kenosha First Assembly near Chicago, Illinois overseeing a half dozen employed staff, dozens of youth workers and hundreds of students each week as part of H2O youth. He has served this church and ministry for nearly a decade, seeing it grow numerically and in spiritual depth, making a vital impact on the surrounding unchurched community. An annual outreach night H2O youth hosts in their community called One Night draws over a thousand students with hundreds making decisions for Christ in a single night.
Jon has been blessed to receive mentorship in Jeanne Mayo's cadre, Nate Ruch's Inspire groups as well as from other veterans such as Art VanZanten, director of Fort Myer's Master's Commission, one of the largest Master's Commission programs in the world. Grateful for these opportunities, he considers it his responsibility to pour into other leaders as well. He regularly mentors dozens of student ministry leaders from other churches of many denominations across the United States. Jon also launched and oversees Thrive Coaching Groups, a mentoring program for youth pastors of Wisconsin and Northern Michigan. He is the visionary behind the Shape Conference, a forthcoming, round table with some of the most influential student ministry leaders in the US, focused on seeking the Lord together and shaping the future of student ministry.
Jon's life mission is to "live his life to give life." He thrives in resourcing leaders and creativity and innovation in ministry. Outside his local church ministry, Jon travels frequently and speaks for retreats, camps and leadership conferences across the United States.
Jon married his college sweetheart, Janet, and they have two beautiful girls Brianna Faith and Isabella Grace.
